The day before, take part in the Holika Dahan, which involves lighting a large bonfire. On the day itself, festivities take place throughout the city with dancing, music, and entertainment. Day 1

Arrived in Delhi on March 5, 2025

Your wonderful journey to the land of colors can begin. For this Festival of Colors 2025 trip to India, you will be greeted by your French-speaking guide upon arrival in Delhi, who will accompany you until the end of your trip. After your transfer to your hotel, you will have plenty of time to settle into your new surroundings for the rest of the day.

Day 2

Mandawa, March 6

Departure for the province of Shekhawati, which will show you rural India. You will stay for two nights in the village of Nawalgarh. Your attention will be drawn to the 'Havelis,' these magnificent mansions that belonged to wealthy merchants who built the grand mansions known as Havelis. The interior and exterior walls are decorated with colorful frescoes, often depicting the life of Krishna. Another must-see is the medieval fort that overlooks the village.

Day 3

Nawalgarh, March 7th

As the region abounds with charming, peaceful villages, it would be a shame not to take advantage of them. After breakfast, the first stop will be at the village of Nawalgarh before continuing on to Mandawa. This second stop will allow you to admire more havelis (villages) with their numerous murals, as well as several superb monuments, including the small palace of Ladhuram Tarakeshwar Goenka and the illuminated four-story building of Dedraj Turmal Bhudarmal Goenka. The architecture and paintings of these monuments in the region are truly unique and offer wonderful photo opportunities.

Jodhpur, March 8

After breakfast, we'll depart for Jodhpur, the Blue City, passing through typical villages of the region. The afternoon will offer a two-hour walking tour of Jodhpur's Blue City to discover its authentic charm and colorful, decorated markets. Late afternoon check-in at your hotel.

Day 5

Jodhpur March 8

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting off to explore the Blue City. Ascend the hill towards the iconic Mehrangarh Fort and admire its elegant courtyards, magnificent paintings, and breathtaking views of the city. Next, visit Jaswant Thada, a white marble temple and former cremation site for the royal family, nestled in a park offering stunning views of the fort you visited earlier. After lunch, you'll enjoy a unique experience with the Bishnoi community. Their faith follows a set of 29 principles, from which they derive their name ("bish" means 20 in Hindi, and "noi" means nine). These principles include compassion for all living beings, providing shelter for stray animals, abstaining from meat, and refraining from cutting down trees. You'll meet local people and learn about their way of life.

Udaipur, March 10th

In the morning, after a good breakfast, depart for the city of Udaipur. On the way, take the opportunity to visit the Jain temple of Adinath in Ranakpur, with its breathtaking decor and exquisitely carved columns. Arrive in Udaipur around 4:00 PM and head to Lake Pichola, where you will enjoy a boat ride and explore the Jag Mandir gardens on its island in the heart of the lake. This location is very popular for Bollywood film shoots. After this long day, enjoy a good night's sleep in the center of Udaipur.

Udaipur and Pushkar, March 11

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing with the famous City Palace of Udaipur. Built on the shores of Lake Pichola, it is considered the largest royal complex in Rajasthan. Stroll through its many rooms and corridors, discovering the colorful paintings typical of North Indian palaces. Late morning, depart for the small town of Pushkar. Every year in November, it hosts the great Camel Fair, which attracts thousands of people who come to buy camels, race them, or simply celebrate.

Jaipur, March 12

This morning will be an opportunity to explore Pushkar, the sacred city of Rajasthan. It receives thousands of visitors every year, including pilgrims who come to pray at the sacred lake. Located in the heart of the city, the lake is said to have been formed by a lotus petal thrown by the god Brahma. Take the opportunity to stroll through this peaceful city and discover the religious practices and rituals at the Brahma Temple. In the afternoon, you will travel to Jaipur for the Festival of Colors in India. In the evening, you will attend a Bollywood film screening at the Raj Mandir.

Jaipur, March 13

Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727. It is one of India's most popular destinations thanks to its rich heritage. You will begin your tour with an architectural walk through the city's various districts. Start your excursion and discover Jaipur's most famous monuments, beginning with a visit to the Amber Fort. Located atop a hill, the fort overlooks the "Pink City." Stroll through its various rooms and richly decorated courtyards, admire the magnificent works of art, and enjoy the views of the lake and gardens. Next, head to the sublime Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), where the Maharajas' wives admired the outside world from behind 953 windows.

The Festival of Colors on March 14, 2025

Day 11

Agra, March 15

Departing early in the morning, you will visit the small village of Abhaneri en route, with its immense stepwell water reservoir called Chand Baori. Then you will continue your journey to Agra. Upon arrival, and after checking into your hotel, you will visit the Agra Fort. This magnificent site houses a private mosque decorated entirely in marble, beautiful gardens, and more. It also offers an exceptional view of the Taj Mahal.
Day 12

Delhi, March 16

Early in the morning, around sunrise, depart for a visit to the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal complex comprises several structures. It tells the love story of Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The main building, an indescribable white of incredible purity, is surrounded by four minarets that overlook the entire structure. Here rest the bodies of the Emperor and his wife. Return to your hotel before heading towards Delhi. You will enjoy a panoramic tour of the capital and visit the Sikh temple. You will also visit Raj Ghat (the site of Gandhi's cremation) and the Gandhi Museum. Check in to your hotel.
